Spring 2008 Important Dates
Book Vouchers:
Students must request book vouchers via the Financial Aid website to pick up vouchers for Spring 2008. The request form will be available in early December.
December 7, 2007
Last day to pay for Early Registration on Spring 2008 Mini-Mester classes. After December 7, 2007, all payments are due at time of registration. Link to Business Office website. Mini-mester classes begin on December 17th, 2007.
If you have financial aid awarded in MyRecords under Spring 2008, you may subtract this financial aid from your charges and pay the difference (if any). Grants will physically be applied to your account after classes start.
December 14, 2007
Last day to pay and register for the Spring Mini-mester course.
January 4, 2008
Last day to pay for Early Registration on 2008 Spring classes. After January 4, 2008 all payments are due at time of registration. 2008 Spring classes begin on or after January 14, 2008.

Spring 2008 Book Voucher deadlines:
- January 3, 2008 Deadline to make online request for Spring book vouchers. Vouchers can be picked up:
January 7th - 12th between 9am and 6pm
January 12, 2008 Last day to pay and register for Spring 2008 courses.
January 28, 2008 - Official Day of Record
Official Day of Record for Spring 2008 classes starting on January 14, 2008. Pending grant funds will "roll" onto student accounts after this date. Each Second Start/Late start classes will have a different Official Day of Record, and grant funds corresponding to enrollment in Second Start classes will "roll" when the respective Official Day of Record arrives.
Example: Jorge is enrolled in 9 credit hours of classes that start on January 14, 2008 and 3 credit hours of a Second Start class that starts in February 2008. 75% of his Pell grant will "roll" onto his account on the Official Day of Record on January 28, 2008. The remaining 25% of his Pell grant will "roll" onto his account after his Second Start class starts in February 2008.

February 25, 2008
First batch of grant "refunds" are sent out. Grant or Scholarship Refunds will be sent out every other week after February 11, 2008.
Week of February 25, 2008 First major disbursement of federal Stafford loan funds "roll" onto student accounts for students who have been awarded loans in MyRecords and have completed online steps provided during the application process.
* Note - Loan funds that are listed under Financial Aid By Term in MyRecords are considered pending until the actual loan funds are disbursed to the school starting the week of February 25, 2008.
Loan funds will usually be sent to student's Chase E-Funds debit card within 3-5 business days of rolling onto student accounts.
The week of February 25, 2008 is the earliest that loan funds will be disbursed, and it will be the first major batch of the semester. Not all loan funds may be disbursed at this time due to individual circumstances. Your actual disbursement depends on several factors including your lender, how quickly you completed the online loan process, or if issues needed to be resolved before disbursement could occur.
Several lenders are located in coastal areas that can be affected by hurricanes. Hurricanes and severe weather have impacted disbursements of loan funds in the past.
Loan funds are disbursed every week after February 25, 2008.
If you requested a paper check instead of a debit card for your loans, it can take a few weeks for your paper check to arrive in the mail. It can take up to 3 weeks after the funds have been disbursed and rolled onto your student account.
April 1, 2008 Last date to apply for Fall 2008 Lone Star College-Montgomery scholarships. (If you applied for Fall 2008 Scholarships, your application will automatically be reconsidered for Spring 2009). Scholarship applications will not be accepted after October 1, 2008.
Applications will be available for the 2008-2009 school year after January 15th.
