Looking forward to the fall semester, students with more advanced skills may participate on our club sports teams – currently LSC-Montgomery has men's club soccer (with Dr. Bill Hayward, coach), club tennis (with Jeff Black, coach), women's soccer (with Mr. Ray Abbasi, coach), volleyball (with Shamira Preston, coach), baseball (with Scott Hankosky, coach), men's basketball (with Layton Gill, coach), women's basketball (with Joe Garza, coach), and racquetball/handball (with Mr. Dave Parsons, coach).
Club sports are open to all LSC-Montgomery students who are registered for at least six credit hours with a minimum overall GPA of 2.0.
Tennis
Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. on campus courts. Tournament information will be given at the first practice.
Racquetball/Handball
At the Conroe YMCA; Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:00 to 4:20 p.m.
Golf
District tournament October 3 at Windrose Golf Course in Spring, TX; format is 2-man scramble; tee time 12:30 p.m.; open to all students, faculty and staff. Top team has opportunity to advance to the national tournament in Las Vegas November 8-9. Spring tournament March 27 at Kingwood Country Club; two-man scramble; tee time 12:00 noon.
Men's Basketball
Fall league begins September 19; games are Fridays at 7:00 p.m. Tryouts are September 10 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm at the Woodlands Rec Center.
Women's Basketball
League is played in the spring semesters; season begins Friday, February 6 at 6:00 p.m.
Women's Soccer
Tuesdays & Thursdays from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on the campus Intramural sports fields. Fall league begins September 6; first meeting is August 28. Spring league begins February 21.
Men's Soccer
Tuesdays & Thursdays from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on the campus Intramural sports fields. Fall league begins September 6; first meeting is August 28. Spring league begins February 2.
Volleyball
Fall league begins September 17; games are Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. District tournament is November 5. Spring league TBA. Tryouts are September 8 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the Woodlands Rec Center.
Baseball
Tryouts September 5 at 3:00 p.m. Season begins September 27; tournament November 15-16. See ncba.org for league information.
Flag Football
Fall league plays on Fridays from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on the campus Intramural sports fields beginning September 5. District tournament October 10 at 10:00 a.m.; Regional tournament at SFA October 31 - November 2. Spring league begins February 6 at 2:00 p.m. District tournament April 3 at 10:00 a.m.
