Blue Star C.A.F.E
The goal of Lone Star College–Montgomery's Center for the Advancement of Faculty and Staff Excellence (aka Blue Star C.A.F.E.) is to enhance teaching and learning as well as student success through ongoing support and development of the faculty and staff.
The Academy
The Academy prepares individuals for future service to the college district, our students, and our communities. The Academy provides

Lone Star College System holds hundreds of workshops each year on topic ranging from Microsoft Office software to improving time management skills.
Grants & Resource Development
The Lone Star College–Montgomery Grants and Resource Development Office collaborates with faculty and staff to find funding for innovative programs, services and initiatives to advance the mission of the college. We can provide leadership and direction for many opportunities, including:

Internal Funding Opportunity (PDF)
Lone Star College System has created an international exploration opportunity for faculty. The purpose is to provide a source of funding to engage in international professional development (i.e. relevant to instruction, internationalizing the curriculum, pre study abroad exploration, etc.) Awards are based on the merit of the proposal and the budget details.
Sabbatical
Employees with at least seven years of service to Lone Star College System are eligible to apply for a sabbatical leave. The sabbatical page contains guidelines and details on applying.
