Health and safety at Lone Star College-Montgomery is everyone’s responsibility. The Health and Safety Committee is a wonderful opportunity for employees and students to become involved.

The LSC-Montgomery Health and Safety Committee meets the first Thursday of every month in Room A102 from 11:30-1:00.  Guest speakers offer presentations on a variety of topics, safety concerns are identified and upcoming health and safety events are discussed.  All employees and students are invited to attend. The Health and Safety Committee offers many training opportunities during the year. Courses include CPR/AED and First Aid, Citizen’s Emergency Response Training  (CERT), and Point of Dispensing (POD) to name just a few.  This is a growing list. Become involved.  Health and safety is for everyone.

1)     Go to http://www.ready.gov/ for personal preparedness information
2)     Call “211” early to register for special needs services. The lines are busy but continue trying.
3)     Listen to news reports and recommendations given by local officials on measures you should take.
4)     Check the http://www.lonestar.edu website and your email daily for LSCS updates.
5)     Subscribe for LSCS news alerts at www.lonestar.edu using your Lone Star and personal email addresses.
6)     Fill your gas tank.
