The Jewish Community Center Meals on Wheels Program is a program that provides hot,home delivered meals to qualified elderly persons in our community. Our Agency delivers only a lunch meal between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Library Friends of Conroe The purpose of Library Friends of Conroe, Inc., is to provide ongoing assistance to Mo. County Central Library in attaining an excellent and efficient level of informational service to the citizens of Montgomery County. Literacy Volunteers of America - Montgomery County Literacy Volunteers of America-Montgomery County, dba ProLiteracy America and ProLiteracy Worldwide, provides basic reading, writing and speaking skills and English as a Second Language instruction to adults throughout Montgomery County. Montgomery County Food Bank The MCFB is a private non-profit corporation that acts as a clearing house for donated and purchased grocery products. Montgomery County Women's Center provides safe shelter, crisis intervention, counseling, legal, and support services to victims/survivors of family violence, sexual assault, stalking and abuse in Montgomery and surrounding counties, and to provide education to the community about such issues.

My Service Dog, Inc. My Service Dog, Inc. is a 501© (3) non-profit organization organized exclusively to promote independence and well-being in the disabled community of the Houston area. More specifically, My Service Dog, Inc. trains service dogs for the physically disabled and hearing impaired. This service is provided free of charge and aims to improve the quality of life of those affected by disabling injury or illness by training and delivering specifically trained dogs to selected individuals. By providing service dogs, this organization will succeed in encouraging the physically and hearing challenged community to live more independent and social lives. Furthermore, this service will provide companionship and increase self-comfidence and self-esteem which are also important facets of living a quality life. Pregnancy Assistance Center North Pregnancy Assistance Center North is a Christian non-profit agency providing services for those dealing with unintended pregnancy, such as options counseling, pregnancy tests, sonograms, STD tests, clothing, food, diapers, referrals, and classes. Silverado Senior Living Kingwood People with Alzheimer's disease can still have a substantial quality to their life. This is best achieved by optimizing our residents' physical and emotional health and by providing an environment which is aesthetically pleasing and accommodating. This is further supported by having staff who are caring, trained, and empathetic to residents' needs, concerns and fears, by giving residents opportunities for appropriate natural social interactions with family, peers, children and pets. We believe that having some control and decision making as well as responsibilities provides a "life purpose" for residents, keeps them interested and involved, relieves boredom and increases the opportunity for them to have happier, more fulfilled lives. Special Olympics The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for persons with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and particapte in a sharing of gifts, skills, and friendship with their families, other Special Olympic athletes and the community. |
