Dear Faculty and Staff:
Welcome to the Lone Star College System (LSCS) family. We are happy you have decided to join our team of dedicated professionals.
As you go through your orientation, you will come to know that LSCS currently has the 3rd largest headcount enrollment of all the community college districts in the state of Texas. With five comprehensive colleges - North Harris, Kingwood, Tomball, Montgomery, and Cy-Fair, seven satellite centers and The University Center, we serve an area of North Harris County and Montgomery County that includes over 1,400 square miles and a population of approximately 1.5 million residents.
LSCS students represent all ages and come from diverse backgrounds. Some are the first in their family to go to college, some wish to complete an associate degree and transfer to a four-year school and others wish to update their skills for the workforce. Many of our students come back to explore an area of personal interest and many are completing a long-held dream.
At LSCS, we work to provide each of our students with the best educational experience possible and it is our faculty and staff who make the difference. You are joining a team of nationally recognized faculty and exceptional staff who are highly committed to student success.
