How to get to Lone Star College–Montgomery

Driving Directions:


To Lone Star College–Montgomery form the north: Take I-45 south to exit#79(Needham Rd./Hwy.242/College Park Dr. Turn right(away from interstate) and head approximately ¼ mile. Main college entrance is on the right.

To Lone Star College–Montgomery from the south ; Take I-45 north to exit #79 (Needham Rd./Hwy. 242/College Park Dr.). Turn left (under the interstate) and head approximately ¼ mile. Main College entrance is on the right.

To Lone Star College–Montgomery Lone Star College–Conroe Center: from the south. Take I-45 north to Loop 336, turn right until you get to intersection 1314, at intersection 1314 turn left to Hwy 105, Turn right on Hwy 105. Take a right on Longview Dr., over the railroad tracks, turn right into the first driveway.MC-Lone Star College–Conroe Center will be on the right hand side.

A listing of current and upcoming Continuing education classes can be found by click on the Registration link on the Continuing education home page.

Can I register for classes online?

Most continuing courses are available through online registration. Some classes have prerequisites. Some courses require a special orientation or admission into the program before you can register. If you are prevented from registering online, please contact the Continuing Education Office.

Where do I start I never registered at a Lone Star College System college before?

You can go to our Lone Star College-Montgomery Web Site, fill out the new student registration form, or go personally to one of our campuses. Some one will help walk you through the steps, or help you fill out the necessary forms.

Can I get an application online?

Go to the Registration for CE Courses section and click the CE registration form link to find the form.

When do I need to enroll?

Register as early as possible to ensure enrollment in the section desired. Registration is available up to the first day of class.

I am not finding courses I want. Are there some helpful search tips?

Helpful search tips:
1. Use fewer search criteria rather than more
2. Avoid the use single or double quotes
3. Avoid the use of parentheses or tildes
4. Try searching all locations or only the college location you prefer
5. Check spellings
6. Use one keyword rather than multiple words. For example, if looking for a Medical Terminology class, try using the keyword ‘Medical'.

I have missed registration for the semester. Can I still register for classes?

Late entrance must be approved by the program manager of that department. Please call the Continuing Education Office at 936-273-7446 (Lone Star College-Montgomery Campus) or 936-271-6000 (Lone Star College-Conroe Center).

Can I drop a class by phone?

Yes, we can be reached at 936-273-7446 (Lone Star College-Montgomery Campus) or 936-271-6000 (Lone Star College-Conroe Center). However, drop requests must be received at least one business day prior to the first day of class. Drops can also be submitted by fax, mail, or in person after printing and completing this drop form (this needs to link to the drop form). Be sure to provide a valid phone number where you can be contacted if we have any questions.

How do I request a refund on a class I didn't start?

Students must officially drop a course at least 1 business day prior to the start of the class in order to receive a refund. Failing to do so will result in loss of tuition fees.

I attended the first week of the semester, but I have to withdraw due to personal problems. Can I have a tuition refund?

No. However, if you are faced with unforeseen and sudden emergency situations that may prevent you from completing your class, you may submit an appeal for emergency refunds to the Department Dean. Put your request in writing and provide documentation of your emergency to the CE admissions office. Your appeal will be reviewed and this process normally takes a week or two before you will hear the outcome of your appeal

Where do I start if I have previously registered at any Lone Star College System college?

You can log in to MyRecords (Stargazer) and click on the link Register and Pay for Continuing Education Courses. Select courses and you will be prompted to submit payment by credit card on our secure site. An email notification of the successful course registration will be sent.

I received a message box that states that I am not recognized. What does this mean?

If the system does not recognize you, there may be discrepancies in your information on file. Try typing in a previous name or address to help the system locate your records. Be aware that no changes can be made online. Contact the Continuing Education Office to provide the correct information.

What if I have used MyRecords (StarGazer) but have forgotten my ID and/or password?

You can get your ID and password by clicking on the link "Get ID and Password" located under the Help heading. You will be asked to create another password. It must be 6 to 9 characters in length using both numbers and letters. Your new password can not be the same as your last three passwords.

Why did the system log me out?


The system logs you out after 5 minutes of inactivity. This is a security measure. Simply log back in and proceed.

I need verification of enrollment for my insurance. When can I request one?

Verifications are available upon request after the official day of record of a given semester.

Where do I get textbooks?

For Lone Star College-Montgomery. The bookstore is in building A, which is located in the back of the college. Book and materials can also be purchased in the same building.

Can I audit classes?

No, Continuing Education does not offer a student to sit in and audit a class.

Can I change my address over the phone?No. If you wish to change your address, you can come to the admissions office and fill out an address change form. You will need to show proof of new address if it is in-district. You may also log onto the myrecords page and change your address there.

There may be a hold or restriction placed on your registration. Please consult the "My Holds" section of the MyRecords section of the Students page to determine the nature of the hold.

When should I apply for financial aid?

You should try to apply for financial aid as early as possible. Priority is given to your financial aid application if you complete the process prior to April 1. After the priority date, financial awards are made as long as funds are available. Funds are usually awarded for the following fall and spring semesters.
