State Kids Insurance Program (SKIP)

This program is designed to supplement the dependent health insurance premium cost for those who qualify. To participate, the eligible employee will need to enroll and re-enroll annually. This benefit does not roll over from year to year.

SKIP eligibility requirements
• You meet certain eligibility criteria according to family income and size (see table above);
• You have children eligible for state insurance under the age of 19 living with you in Texas,
• You are not eligible for Medicaid, and
• You are a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.
