Mission Statement

The institutional effectiveness process is an ongoing quest for quality improvement of all areas of an organization’s mission.

In addition, the college is expected to document quality and effectiveness by employing a comprehensive system of planning and evaluation in all major aspects of the institution. Planning and evaluation of teaching, research, service, administration, and educational support should be thorough, broad based, integrated and appropriate. Institutional effectiveness provides documentation of planning, assessment, and the use of results in decision-making across a campus.
 
The Institutional Effectiveness office at Lone Star College-Montgomery coordinates and supports assessment and evaluation activities across the campus. The office:
 
* Provides support for a systematic campus wide participation in assessment planning, implementation, and reporting of findings.
* Provides direct services to departments in developing and implementing assessment programs.
* Reviews and provides feedback on all assessment plans and reports.
* Analyzes data and reports findings of assessment activities to college community.
* Participates with Institutional Research in preparing reports related to performance funding.
* Coordinates yearly reports required by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).
* Monitors the college's compliance with SACS criteria.
* Provides leadership for self-study and reaffirmation visits.
