A survey of national, state, and local government, including such topics as the U.S. and Texas Constitutions; democratic theory; federalism; political culture, political socialization, and public opinion; political participation and electoral behavior; political parties and interest groups; press; and local government. GOVT 2389: ACADEMIC INTERNSHIP
A course designated to integrate on-campus classroom study with practi¬cal hands-on work experience in the student’s major field of study. The student, the student’s supervisor, and a faculty coordinator will establish specific goals for the student to accomplish.
