General Job Description
Assists nursing service personnel with a variety of patient care activities and related non-professional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients. Bathes, assists with personal hygiene, takes and records vital signs (temperature, pulse, etc.), changes bed linens and runs errands. May serve and collect food trays, provide for between meal nourishment, and cleans, sterilizes, stores and prepares other supplies.
General Program Information
High school diploma or its equivalent recommended
State certification exam required, includes a written and manual skills evaluation, $76 fee.
Immunizations that may be required by clinical facility:
- TB (tuberculosis--PPD)
- HBV1 (Hepatitis B)

Salary Range: $19,727 - $25,811
Classes are held at Lone Star College–Conroe Center.
Some clinical time may be scheduled outside of regular class meeting times.
