The AutoCAD program is designed to enhance computer-aided drafting skills and to prepare students for a professional office environment. The emphasis is on producing working drawings through the use of AutoCAD software.

Each student is required to produce quality drawings on the computer.

Successful completion of the program will enable students to save and properly manage drawing files, create CAD layers, create two dimensional and isometric drawings, and practice proper dimensioning techniques. In addition, the use of the computer as a design tool will be investigated.

Prerequisite:
Computers Concepts and Windows Essentials or equivalent knowledge.
Technical drafting knowledge helpful.
