Thank you so much for walking me through the Testing Center login/tracking system. It was very informative on several fronts. I have a much better understanding of how the testing center serves the faculty, students, and guests of the campus.

It was also a wonderful opportunity for me to see the IT process for project management and client engagement. I appreciate the attention to detail, proactive approach to training and support, and focus on the end-users.
I look forward to collaborating with you all on customizing a tracking system for the ELC.

I've called the tech team a couple of times over the past year and they have been terrific! They get to the room (F226) in short order and fix the issue immediately. In one case, the cables were incorrectly plugged into the back of the computer/monitor unit, so when I showed a DVD in class, the sound was only available from the monitor, and not the room speakers. They saw this immediately and made the change.

Tech support is a great resource the College offers; I really appreciate it!

I just want to tell you that I love map-it. I do not know or like going into GUI to check out a class time. This has made my job easier. This is wonderful and I applaud the person or people who have to keep this updated. Awesome job.

Although we have just begun some of the physical moves required in the reorganization of the Divisions, I want to thank you and the Technology group for the help and cooperation. Because office space is so limited (we will have NO offices remaining in E, F, or A after the new faculty arrive), we're having to make moves in almost a "choreographed" manner (or, is it like "eating the elephant - one bite at a time"). In spite of all else your group has to accomplish before the next semester begins, everyone has been terrific in responding as quickly as possible, not only with the original requests, but in some of the sudden "adjustments" we've had to make as each move occurs. The ServiceDesk has taken my calls and/or email requests without a blink, and always with a pleasant conversation. You began entering work orders as soon as you received tour proposed office assignment, which was a big help. I've always bragged about how great our Tech group is - not only in knowledge, but in customer service - and under times of pressure like this, you've all proven you are. So, although we've just started, I want to express my appreciation for all you've done, are doing, and what you will be doing as we make our moves. Thanks from all of us in the L'ART Division (soon to be TEAM and ????).

The sixth week of the summer youth program is nearly over. Fearful that I might relax and forget, I wanted to jump in while my energy is still high and remember to thank all of you from the bottom of my heart for the help you have given to me personally and professionally and to the instructors to help create a successful program. I appreciate your graciousness, professionalism and godspeed. Without the speedy TV/VCR/DVD deliveries or help with a computer problem or the hours spent loading software for robotics or time spent designing a brochure or devising a video camera set-up for the robotics tournament, we could not achieve excellence. Thank you for your excellence. Everyone should have a "Servicedesk".

It was very impressive how quickly the IT department responded when I taught a class on Thursday, 4/7/05 at Montgomery College. I could not find the GUI version of Datatel and within just a few moments of my call to the helpdesk, the GUI version begin showing up on the screens and it was all done remotely. The process was completed before the students arrived so there was no impact on my beginning the Budget Training session for MC employees. Thank you!

Our Lone Star College–Montgomery IT department is service oriented. Each person in the department is ready, able and willing to provide assistance whenever it is needed. Requests for help are answered quickly. IT personnel are patient with our ignorance, fix our problems and communicate with us all along the way. NASH faculty and staff enjoy working with IT and have confidence in their service.

 

Craig Livingston – History Instructor and Department Chair, Lone Star College–Montgomery
The IT team is structured and led in a way that has optimized service. Classroom equipment is always running and when a projector or a computer has crashed, IT has been there like Montana smoke-jumpers to fix it. There's a spirit of "elan"--pride in service, that animates IT's responsiveness. I have used IT's technical expertise. In 2004, as just one example, IT helped me make a 2.5 minute video that promoted a course on US military history. The video produced its intended results. IT is courteous, professional, and fast. They have also become close friends.

The IT Department at Lone Star College–Montgomery sets the pace for the District. From the beginning our campus recognized the importance of having state of the art technology and over time it has paid off. The staff in our IT department is always quick to respond and solve computer and software problems. They are competent, courteous, and helpful. If a survey was taken, the Lone Star College–Montgomery IT department would rate A+++.

The nursing faculty feel privileged to have the support and innovative skills of MC’s IT department. The support staff is professional, timely, and polished in how they treat “network challenged” faculty as if they really had the knowledge necessary to be successful in this high tech environment. No only do they treat all faculty with respect, they gently guide them to sound solutions to their difficulties that do not over-stress them. The faculty feel they have true support and are never hesitant to call upon them for assistance. I have found personally that the IT department rises to meet my high demands and expectations for innovative website, on-line registration, and web-based testing. With the nursing program at MC growing over 300% over the past two years, it has been necessary to create and expand the technology that is at our fingertips to meet the demands of a new generation of students. With IT’s assistance, the goals have been accomplished and exceeded. There never seems to be any obstacle too big for them to overcome, with their “can do” attitude and high energy. Thank you, thank you, thank you for making us look good through your hard work!

The response time of IT to our help desk needs in the past two years has become phenomenally good. We usually have a technician over here in minutes, or certainly within the hour, of our request.

The IT department is by far the most improved department on campus. When I first started teaching, IT was often criticized by faculty for a variety of reasons. But recently I have heard nothing but praise for IT. And in my personal experiences with IT I have found them to be cooperative, knowledgeable, and efficient. Great improvement!
