We are waiting for YOUR input. We want YOUR ideas, YOUR suggestions, and YOUR nominations for speakers.
You nominate. We coordinate.
As a result of your nominations, Blue Star C.A.F.E. staff will coordinate the logistics of bringing a distinguished speaker to Lone Star College-Montgomery to share their research and expertise with you. Speakers are awarded an honorarium and will have their travel expenses paid.
Some examples of previous Blue Star speakers include:
- Dr. Stephen L. Klineberg, Rice University, presented “Houston’s Economic & Demographic Transformation: Perspectives of a City in Transition”.
- Dr. Don French, spoke on innovative teaching strategies in the sciences.
- Dr. Charles R. B. Stowe, Sam Houston State University, presented "Innovative Ideas for Educators".
- Dr. Michael DeCuna presented to the Nursing department.
- Rich Rice, Texas Tech University, presented to the English department.
