LSC-Montgomery Mascot

On March 20, we asked you to help choose the mascot for LSC-Montgomery. There were close to 1,800 suggestions!

Some of the more unusual mascot suggestions included monstars, banana slugs and MOCO LOCO’s. But the selection committee, which involved three students, four faculty/staff members and multiple student organizations have organized the top seven choices (listed in alphabetical order):

• Fighting Squirrels
• Lumberjacks
• Matadors
• Mavericks
• Mustangs
• Pirates
• Wolverines

A decision will be made by the end of the spring 2008 semester. Once a mascot is selected, there will be a campus-wide contest to draw the new mascot. All students, faculty and staff will have the opportunity to participate.
