ART APPRECIATION

Art Appreciation (ARTS 1301) - is a wonderful means of seeing an overview of art, such as what are the purposes of art? What makes a work of art good? What are the materials of art? How does art relate to its time? How did art develop from the earliest times? Slide lectures, videos, a museum field trip, tests and visits to our college gallery are accompanied by some hands-on projects. Projects in the past have included collage, scratchboard, clay pots and experiments in colored markers.
