Configuring Internet Explorer

Add Vista to your list of trusted sites - steps below:

1.    Start Internet Explorer (double click icon).

2.    Click the Tools menu at the top, then click Internet Options.

3.    Click the Security tab at the top; then click Sites button at middle, right of screen (for Trusted Sites).

• Enter http://nhmccdvista4.blackboard.com to your trusted sites list, then click the add button.
• Make sure to uncheck the option that requires server verification (https:) for call sites in this zone, then click Close.

Turn off pop-up blockers - steps below

1.    Start Internet Explorer (double click icon).

2.    Click the Tools menu at the top, then click Internet Options.

3.    Click the Privacy tab at the top; then in the middle of the screen, uncheck the box in front of Turn on Pop-up Blocker, then click OK.

First time logging into Vista

1.    Go to http://Online.lonestar.edu/ and click on Go to Class.

2.    Click on the Vista login button.

3.    A warning message will appear about needing to open a new window.  Click the Do not show this message again and then click OK. 

4.    Follow login instructions provided.

5.    Once logged into Lone Star College-Online Vista, click Check Browser at the top, right corner of the screen.

6.    Make sure all of the items have a green check mark.  If not, go to http://www.Vista.com/tuneup/
