Instructions for Employees

1. Open your favorite Internet browser, i.e., Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Opera, etc. The login page for Lone Star College-Montgomery Wireless Network Authentication Services will appear on your computer screen in the browser window you have just opened.
   
   
   
   
   
   
2. To gain full network as well as Internet access, enter your LSC-Montgomery employee username and password into the login area. Then click the "Continue" button.
   
   
   
   
   
   
   Alternatively, if you do not remember or have your MC employee login information, you can gain Internet access by clicking the "Student/Guest Access" button but you will not have access to the internal network services.
   
   
   
   
   
3. After you have logged in, the login page will be replaced by the default home page for your Internet browser. You may now enjoy wireless access to the Internet. Further, if you logged in using your MC network login, you may also access LSC-Montgomery network resources (e.g., e-mail, network drives, Colleague access, shared drive, printing, etc.).
   
   
   
   
   
4. Please note that, after eight hours of being connected, the wireless access login page will reappear in your Internet browser, and you will be asked to re-login to the system. For continued network and/or Internet access, repeat step two to re-login.

Important Notes

• Wireless access is available in locations on campus having wireless network coverage (wireless maps). If you appear to have unavailable, slow, or intermittent wireless access, try moving to another location. If you are still unable to connect to the Internet/network, please ensure that your wireless computer is first connected to the Lone Star College System network.
  
  
• To maintain your Internet/network connection, the Internet browser you used to connect to the network must remain open the entire time you are using the Internet/network. Internet-enabled applications (AOL, chat,etc.) will gain access the Internet only after completing the steps for connecting to the wireless access system.
