Instructions for Students

1. Open your favorite Internet browser, i.e., Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Opera, etc. The login page for LSC-Montgomery Wireless Network Authentication Services will be in the browser window you have just opened.
   
   
   
   
   
   
2. Click the "Student/Guest Access" button near the bottom of the screen.Students and community members do not need a username and password to enjoy Internet access.
   
   
   
   
   
   
3. After clicking "Student/Guest Access," the login page will be replaced by the default home page for your Internet browser. You may now enjoy wireless access to the Internet through the LSC-Montgomery network.
   
   
4. Please note that, after four hours of being connected to the Internet, the wireless access login page will reappear in your Internet browser, and you will be asked to re-login to the system. For continued Internet access, click the "Student/Guest Access" button.

 

Important Notes

• Wireless access is available in locations on campus having wireless network coverage (wireless maps). If you appear to have unavailable, slow, or intermittent wireless access, try moving to another location.
  
  
• If you are still unable to connect to the Internet, please ensure that your wireless computer is first connected to the Lone Star College System network.
  
  
• To maintain your Internet connection, the Internet browser you used to connect to the network must remain open the entire time you are using the Internet. Internet-enabled applications (AOL, chat, etc.) will gain access the Internet only after completing the steps for connecting to the wireless access system.
