The Education department at Lone Star College-Montgomeryoffers the Associate of Arts in Teaching (AAT) degree which satisfies the lower division (i.e. freshman and sophomore level) requirements for a bachelor's degree leading to initial Texas teacher certification. The AAT degree also qualifies one to become a professional teacher's aide.
