Services
Services offered by the Extended Learning Center (ELC) include tutoring, access to advanced computer equipment and software, workshops, and facilitated study groups.
Although priority is given to Lone Star College-Montgomery students, tutoring services are offered free of charge to our community members. Program areas include:
Computer Lab
The ELC possesses software for educational and research purposes and is staffed with knowledgeable tutors to assist in their use. Information on ELC computer resources is available through MapIT™, or by calling a computer tutor at 936-273-7404.
Student Success Seminars are free, educational workshops offered in the Fall & Spring semesters to students and community members. Walk-ins are welcome, but registration is recommended. To reserve your seat, please contact Cheri Riggs at 936-273-7370 or email your name, contact info, and the title and time of the desired seminar to elcseminars@lonestar.edu.
Facilitated Study Groups
Facilitated study groups are administered by professional ELC tutors. Sessions are free of charge, participative, and designed to empower students in their own learning.
