Psychology

The Psychology Department offers a variety of courses in Psychology. General Psychology is a prerequisite for the majority of these classes.

Our classes are designed to provide a basic overview of general principles of psychology and we make a special effort to help students apply those principles to themselves and their experiences.

This program is designed to allow students to obtain credit for freshman and sophomore level classes that transfer to other colleges and four year universities.

The psychology department enjoys using an interactive and experiential approach with students in and outside the classroom.

You may find the students observing shoppers at the mall or in the hallway attempting to defuse a "bomb." Various experiments, group projects, and traditional instruction combine to deepen our understanding of behavior and mental processes.
