College life provides new and challenging experiences for students. Common issues students face include:
- Balancing work, school, and family life
- Relationship and adjustment issues
- Anxiety
- Stress
- Depression
- Lack of study skills
- Unclear career and academic goals
Since faculty have frequent and direct contact with students they are in a unique position to identify students in distress and refer them to the proper campus resources. Counselors are available to assist students with personal, academic, and career concerns. Our goal is to create an environment in which all students can thrive and maximize their academic potential.
If you determine that a referral to counseling services is appropriate, please review the Early Alert Referral Form for the proper procedures.
